26 Mar CBC English Service Cuts: digital round-up
CBC English Service management held a Town Hall today to detail specific cuts. Here are the broad brush strokes:
- 5 CBC radio shows cut
- 50% music cut to music recordings
- The Current cut by 10%
- 80 jobs in English news
- 20 jobs cut in marketing
- 12 jobs cut in communications
- budget reductions in prime time programming
- more money for CBC.ca
- two bureaus left with only one person (La Ronge and Thompson, MB)
